Shane,

To my knowledge there is only one set of WE beadlocks cut with a rover pattern out there(in my garage). Bill R has the only other set I know of on a rover, course his have a mog bolt pattern.

17" rim

Are there any other 17" wheels available in the LR pattern, or is WE the only option?

I believe there are a few different wheels available. I'm considering the WE beadlocks and Hutchinson beadlocks. I think Allied will make 17" steel wheels.

Do you have any details on the Hutchinson wheel. Where to get it and cost. A few months ago I looked at them but nothing was available for a Rover at that time.

I'm not positive on the availablity of the hutchinson wheels in a LR pattern. I know they can make them........
I've looked into becoming a distributor for them but the wheels are more expensive then most are willing to pay.

retail is $475 ea.
I've found them online for $380

They are DOT which is nice added security.

Shane, now that you mention it I have seen that 110 in a pic as well.

Love them
IIRC 4.5"
Don't really get them over 50mph as I rarely have more than 5psi in the krawlers so I don't have a road report for you(town to trail, back to town, then on the trailer). Obviously I don't balance these tires/wheels and they ride quite well.

I erad that WE is now making 15" rims too. I love those rims but between the $$ and not knowing if they will balance out well for street use also is a big gamble for me..

You do know that to be DOT approved all they need is a self-certification? DOT does not test the rims or anything, just thought I would mention it.

Maybe I should rephrase my comment: I recently contacted the DOT and asked about certification on a rim. The gentleman informed me that it's a self-certification and had to meet 5 requirements. I was surprised to learn this since I thought they would have to test a rim and have it approved.

That's all I'm saying, nothing more nothing less.

There is alot of different (mis)information out there.
I've "heard" that your wheels do NOT have to be DOT
I've heard the your wheels have to have a DOT stamp in a visable place.
I've seen beadlock wheels with DOT stamp on the inside where the tire covers it and the manufactur claims "off-road only".

I've only seen two manufactures claim DOT approval on their beadlock wheels. Hutchinson and Robbie Gordon.

Regardless of DOT the Hutchinson wheels look to be the safest beadlock wheels on the market

Gotcha.

Yeah, they said you have to have the manufacturer logo stamped on the rim, along with the manufacture date, size, rating and DOT. If you are importing the rims you also have to fill out a certain Customs form number.
