Trade 1.2 LT230 for 1.003

I am compiling parts for a build. I may be interested in swapping a 1.2 LT230 for a 1.003 if anybody has one. I would also considering buying 1.003 gears if anybody has them just let me know.

Thanks for the info. I'm still a bit out on this project.. May run it with a 1.2 and see how it does before making the swap

It's funny I've been contemplating swapping my 1.222 for a 1.003 to get my highway rpm's down but not affect my low-range gearing. I couldn't find anyone stateside that had these, so was thinking I'd ultimately have to order from Ashcroft in the UK.

Yea I am thinking I am going to have to go that route as well. Ebay UK may have one but it's not worth the hassle of shipping/customs to get a shit box.

What are you running in your truck? I have plans to run a 350 chevy to a TF 727 with the old school RRC adapter to the LT230 in a 88 RRC. Since the 727 doesnt have an OD I'm not sure how it will ride on the highway. According to the calculators it's going to run real high on RPM even on bigger tires. However guys with 3.5 Rv8's and the TF727 say the 1.2 is the way to go. SO I figure get it all together and see how it goes.

The 1.222 is in the NAS 3.9L V8 running 5.13 gearing...but my highway rpms push way too high, but other than that I'm totally happy with it. But I never even use 1st gear EVER just cruising around town - its always a start in 2nd.

Blasphemy! The 110 is the cruiser, the 90 is for wheeling. Really what I should just do is put 35s back on but I don't feel like raising my garage header. I do like the gearing off road, just leave it in 1st and let it do its thing.
