Thinking about building one for my daughter. Anybody have plans that are gathering dust?

I am going to do the same. We should pool resources while you are in LA

Come now, you can build a Pink Jeep for 1/2 the price of a Toylander and look great driving it around for the next 13 years....

I've got the toylander plans and they are pretty sketchy on a lot of details - no specs on recommended motors etc, I think they really want to sell you theirs. There's also pix in the manual of custom suspension set-ups and stuff that aren't part of the plans. You really have to study the manual to figure match the pix with the plans. Its pretty evident that you can sink a ton of cash into one of these if you either don't watch what you're buying or go overboard. I've read about a lot of motor solutions and stuff online that I wouldn't use, and motors from McMaster that look suitable are about 6-700/pair. I'm still studying the plans and figuring a plan of attack - all while trying to finish my real 110.

Just buy this one ... and if you don't dig the color ... paint it.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Repli...#ht_500wt_1121

I don't think you could build it for under $1000.00

Just sayin'

Dendy

PS: No affiliation or knowledge of seller ... just saw it on ebay

Already keeping an eye on this one. Spoke to the guy. Its not a toylander and doesnt look like its a real quality build but we will see what it gets up to but its not worth much over its current bid in my opinion.
