Thule Cross Bars mount

I need the bottom mount bracket for the Thule Cross Bars. I only need the very bottom bracket.

If anyone has the bottom bracket and would let me borrow it for a little while (a month) to fabricate my own, that would be great too. I promise to give it back

What I have is in the pic.

Thanks,

Greg

Pretty sure mine are in the garage, Greg, feel free to borrow them whenever you like. there are a couple of other options for the mounts as well.

Another use for quickfists. I put them on there instead (two on each side of the rack). It works surprisingly well. I swear I don't have anything to do with the quickfist company. Get them on ebay.

Shawn,

According to their website, each clamp holds approximately 22 lbs. If I have the rack loaded up with gear, and then include the wind factor, that seems like too much of a load for those rubber clamps.

I understand where they go, it just seems like they may be a little weak.

Follow-up Post:

Not a good pic, but here they are on the red truck.
If you use them for carrying a boat, they work fine. If you are looking for the straps to take the pressure of full gear and wind, they are probably weak. I would use them and lash directly to the roll cage also, this way it would be plenty strong.
