Td5 engine chip / more power

hi all,

i have a client asking for a little help tuning his TD5 motor. i figured an ECU flash would be the best option. i sent a couple notes to Twisted and have not heard back.

anyone have any recommendations? thanks!

the engine is a stock Td5.
the transmission is an Auto [guessing ashcroft]
the trucks does weigh a lot as there is all sorts of gear on it.

Bell automotive

They have specific tunes for auto and diesel. They are the only company I would use. They are super quick to respond which is rare for a uk company.

Email me if you want to discuss. I talked to them less than a month ago.

Bell automotive is great.
I have also used alive tuning. Also very good.
Love service and products from both.

Alive has slightly better pricing.

Also customize everything based on what you use the vehicle for or want.

Pete Bell is great, you email him a download of your current map and tell him what you want. He corrects and sends it back, just upload and run...

Allisport has a plug and play module that doesn't require any reflash. It also has an on off toggle.

I would highly recommend a new high performance Allisport intercooler and hoses as the increased fuel causes increased egt and without them, the td5 will run strong, but it won't run long.

They may want to get the Allisport exhaust manifold as well, since the factory exhaust manifold has a tenancy to warp with the increased performance. If they don't have the egr blanking and decat down pipe, order those as well.

The top of the range would be to cap it all off with a VNT turbo kit.

auto trans

I have 2 daily driver TD5's one r380 one auto trans and would NOT recommend the same mods for both trucks even with large torque converter and tc lock up .Complete decat exhaust, egr block off and K&N or similar air cleaner,to start. We use Allisport products and the fit and finish as well as customer service is top notch.
