Question SVX Replica Project

I am looking to create a replica of a 2008 Defender SVX edition. I am looking for part numbers / manuals to help me identify parts that I need to purchase. Do you have an suggestions?

Thanks in advance for any and all advice.
Heath

this seems like an insanely costly project.

How close are you trying to replicate this? If it's not going to be down to each detail, then buy a Black ROW 90, add a PUMA hood, front facia (probably from any of the LR parts suppliers in the UK) and SVX style cage from P&P Cages (http://www.ppcages.com).

Probably cheaper to buy this and have it rebuild with a new galvanized chassis and an 84/85 donor.

They cost more than your donor 110.

I bought the SVX wheels (part number VPLDW0001YCM) for $325 each plus a fortune for shipping. The seats are VPLDS0035PUY and $2,700 each. No clue what to do with the rear bench. Putting the correct SVX seats in the back would be a massive project and require a new tub. Front grill is LR008361 and lights that fit the grill are sold as a kit under part number VPLDV0001. Puma bonnet is readily available but spendy. The LAND ROVER emblem for the bonnet is available on ebay.co.uk for cheap. Clear rear LEDs are available here for $800. I haven't seen anyone do a Puma dash on a NAS Defender, but that wouldn't be for the faint of heart. The moulded tire carrier is a nice, cheap update to the truck (part number STC7889). You'd also need wheel arches that are paintable (ie not the NAS rubber ones). RN has those I think.

------ Follow up post added October 22nd, 2010 08:22 PM ------

Also, I had to get new center caps for the SVX wheels (part number RRJ500060MUZ). Good luck and post pictures if you take this project on. Aside from rear seats, dash (and engine if you want that too) it is all pretty simple... just bring a big wallet.

Yeah seriously. You can't list all that without a single picture to back it up!

I have the svx wheels, but none of the other parts. Just had the part numbers at my fingertips and wanted to help.

Aside from the dash and rear seats, it is not a technical project (and drivetrain of course, depending on how far you want to go). There is a silver SW in Denver with painted wheel arches that look nice.
