Survey of a Defender 110

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I'm looking at a Defender 110 in Michigan that I'd like someone to have a look at for me (work/life schedule won't allow a trip for me).

I've had other vintage vehicles inspected in the past, but I'm hoping there is someone in Michigan (yes, I know it's a big state) that provides similar service for Defenders? Any help is much appreciated.

even if it is yours - a plug for Johan as a VERY honest seller, and all round good bloke if the other poster is in fact looking at one of his.

Thanks guys, I haven't yet responded to anyone because I'm awaiting the actual location of the vehicle.

Thanks Brandon! And a thousand thanks for your help on this.

Just took delivery Monday of an original-owner, '93 NAS (333/500) Defender with under 17,000 miles (confirmed by service records).

Will try to get pics up this weekend...

Brandon, THANKS AGAIN!!!! When you get to Belfast, the beer & lobster's on me!

He doesn't drive it, he just polishes it with a diaper. A man with his priorities so far out of whack doesn't deserve such a fine automobile.

(prior owner that is!)

We've wrested it away from the infidel, LOL. While I have no intention of abusing it, I do intend to drive it and it will see some off-road use on occasion. Hell, most of Maine is off-road anyways.....even the paved parts!

Sounds like that truck whose owner put together a rather odd ad about him buying it new in NJ and then moving and parking it in a barn. His ads used to come off super pretentious and the truck had been for sale for years. Dude wanted $150k if I recall? We have a dedicated thread or two on it here. Congrats. Hopefully it'll be better cared for now!
