Apparently mine is toast. Before ordering new from the U.K. Does someone have one in awesome shape that will fit my rig?

The "word on the street" is to get the Meridian box from here in the U.S. - I'll see if I can dig up some info (Meridian Auto Parts, 800-874-1974).

I bought one two mos ago to install in a customer truck $325 plus shipping. Just googled both 95 defender and 96 discovery power steering gear box and went with cheapest option. What typically fails in the boxes is just the seals. On both of my kids trucks (Trey's is 33 yrs old) that had leaking boxes I used the Blue Devil Autotrans sealer and neither truck has required fluid since that product was used. Since every RRC, and Discovery 1 used the same power steering box it doesn't make a lot of sense to pay shipping for one from the UK.

Damn things sell for more in the UK than they do stateside

How hard is it to just replace the seals? Mine seems to be leaking too.

That's what I did. And after using the 110 for a little while I had some leaking and went with Doug's tip of the Blue Devil Auto Trans sealer. I haven't seen a leak since.

Yeah, I thought I had quoted Doug.... I was just trying to say that it was cheaper to get a new box than the rebuilt box that was linked above.

I've got a $20 used box in mine, because I'm REALLY cheap.
