Chris,

I have the hoop set off my exmod? Probably could make it work. Let me know and I can take photos and measurements and maybe we can work something out.

Does anyone know if there is some reason I could not use this set on my Series? I mean too me it looks great, but I simply dont know anything about the Series tops and differences between the ex-mod setup vs stock.

Chris, shoot me a PM with what you would like for them.

Thanks!

Chris;

Looks like all that is missing is the front rail (above the windscreen) and the gutter pieces(above the door tops). George at RDS typically keeps odds and ends like that around.

Chris,

I'm not missing anything, I have everything that Troy mentions above. There are two problems I see, the first is the length between the hoops. On an ex mod 90" you have a rear hoop that ties to the roll bar as pictured above. The roll bar then attaches to a hoop just behind the seats. This hoop attaches to the windscreen via over door panels. On a traditional hoop set you dont have the roll bar so you need to mearsure the distance between the 1" holes in the cappings that accept the hoops. The horizontal bar measures 42 3/4" long that I have. It would be the end of the world but you could fab one for $5 bucks if you can weld and a little more if you outsource the welding. The second problem is the above the door panels. They are differn't for the 88" than they are for the 90". Go to wwwDOTallwheeltrimDOTcoDOTuk and you will see what I'm talking about.

Chris post or send me a pm once you've checked out the link.

Thanks
Chris

All the actual hoops themselves can be easily made. The most important parts are the piece that goes on the top of the windscreen and the door top frames. Even the little clips that hold down the hoops can be pretty easily made. So a set that has a couple hoops missing or damaged isn't a big deal.

Thanks for the input. I'm leaving town for a week so I can ponder over some options. I would feel bad about cutting down or using a D90s MIL set and someone pops up looking specifically for a MIL set.
