Seat metal plate d-90

I am looking for the sheet metal cover that goes underneath the front seats. I have one, but I'm missing the other......seat gets hot without it....this is for a 97 NAS Defender 90

Which side? They are different shapes. I think the passenger one is cheap. The driver side costs four times as much for some reason.

It's the drivers side. I didn't realize they were different sizes, thanks for the info. Do you have one?

Thanks for keeping the forum alive. Most of the old guard have slowed down posting. I am glad you still enjoy posting useless responses on every thread all day long. The no ac line on the camel thread is a classic.

I may be able to help you!

I was in a similar boat when I bought my 94, as it was missing the same left side panel so I made a replacement panel out of a piece of sheet scrap from our airframers. (It's some sort of superalloy for helicopters, I s&$t you not, and actually was difficult to cut, even with the metal brake they had access to in the spaces.)

Anyway I found one of the actual missing panels overseas in a 110 that was getting trashed late in the war after someone drove it to death, and I grabbed the panel. I'm using that LR one now, but I'll send you the original one I made if you'll pay for shipping and I guess for me to box it up and drive it to the shipping place! $20 sound fair?

I can take a photo later for you if you want, but it's a piece of the aforementioned "super alloy" cut to size with a slot cut in the front for your seatfront retainer hook. It's just a sheet, without a front edge bend or underside ribs like the factory one, but it worked for me for over a year, it's painted black, will keep crap from falling in there on your battery, and will be covered by your seat base.

And now back to Josh and Barry taunting one another!

Why not get a sheet of alloy and make your own?

Rocky, I may end up doing that, but for 47 bucks it may be easier for me to buy one new that's already made. I was hoping to find one locally that was collecting dust in someones garage.

Oh, and thanks Horsey, you made me laugh at your well thought out post....very entertaining.....

Hi there,
I have both cubby box covers that I would love to sell, but both together. $40.00?
They need a little sanding and paint but are in great shape.
