Safari roof rack needed

I'm looking for a factory style Safari Roof Rack (like the ones on the 1997 LE's) for my 97 D90 Soft Top. If anyone has one for sale, please contact me at ssegall1@sbcglobal.net or feel free to call at 813-495-5121

I Am Also Looking For One, Preferably In Nc. I Seen One A While Back That Is Similar To The Factory But The Front Had A Dip Area, (for Lack Of Better Descriptive) In The Front. Looked Super Cool, Of Course With The Rear Ladders And Mounting Devices So It Would Work For A St. Anyone Have Any Idea Who This One Is Made By. Thanks .

You still need a ladder to support it with, though i think the mounting tabs are in different locations.

Abdul,

Derek forwarded your pics of your truck with his rack & ladder mounted. Man, it looks really nice!

For anyone still looking for a ST rack and ladder, your prayers have been answered. It should even NAS hardtops.

Derek's number is 818-378-4790

Javier

Yup, there will be photos on the site by end of the month.
We will have a few versions.
#1 will be a SD repro in all respects. This is being done because we need exact copies for our 110/90 restos, so we will not alter the design at all.
#2 will be a custom version for our SR110s and BR110s. These will allow a full, 2/3 or 1/3 roof basket on our soft top 110s.
#3 will be a stock style basket, but we hope to be able to have the rear ladder system bolt up to existing holes, so that to install the system you will not have to drill any holes in your truck.

The first version we will have done will be #2 that will be on this BR110 we are working on now:
http://www.eastcoastrover.com/BeachRunner2.html

So to check out the product check out that page later this month.

Thanks!

Mike,

Is there any chance that option 3 will have a "quick removal" option? Something that allows removal of the basket but keeps the ladders and front racks in tact?

The basket is what connects the structure between the front and rear mounting points. If you removed the basket the rear bar would be really loose. Anything can be done though, and if an easy off option is desired would could make some tie bars that hold everything together under the backet, so that it could be removed. It wouldn't be a problem to do, but it would just be something custom you'd need to have us do.
With racks being made in house now we can do tent mounts, whatever.
