Troll the local CL ads. There are often RRC's for cheap. But like Pedro said, age and miles have not missed many so there are tons out there that need a little TLC.

Really?

I don't want Fred Flintstone floors or a basket case. Motor should be strong. Coil conversion prefered. I want something you wouldn't hesitate putting your wife and kids in - a daily driver too.

I have been. Not many on CL in the state at the moment.

I really don't want a project truck. There are a lot of nice ones for sale, but they need head gaskets or heads - high-mileage trucks.

My budget is $5k if that helps.

30 seconds to find a '95 LWB, green, 90 minutes away for under $3K. That extra $2k will go a long way toward the new liftgate, door lock and window work it almost certianly will need:

You have to love car ads that do not mention mileage. My guess it will about 150k.

Edit - that is Randy William's old rig.
