I don't know. I will pay what it takes, but rivits are usually less than 10cents each. If not 1-2 cents each.

Yes, but that is still really expensive (Mikey agreed) and that is with the Mikey "good buddy" discount.

Ron

BTW he said you ordered a tailgate bar, so did I

Yes, now if I can talk myself into spending 2200 for a top I will never use, or at least use only a few times a year

I have to admit that the LR rivets look different to any ones I have ever bought. Even the head has a SPECIAL dome on it. I buy them cheap in the UK...

I got some from Fastenal. Dont recall the exact cost and dont have the PN, but it was very inexpensive. If I tried, I could probably be a little more vague, but then I wouldnt be much help.

rivits

If you are talking about the pop rivets on the capping, here is a link to McMaster Carr.

http://www.mcmaster.com/#closed-end-...rivets/=119fdc

These are the same type Land Rovers uses blind aluminum rivet w/ aluminum mandrel. You want a 3/16" rivet and they offer different grip ranges. About $11 to $14. for a box of 100 depending on the grip range. Best deal around.

Dendy, you are thingking of the older series style. BTW, I will be in your area late am and may stop by.

Cheers

Scott or Ron, what size rivet did you end up using? I'd like to order from mcmaster but am not sure what size to get for the cappings.

thanks,
charles

I ordered GENUINE land rover rivets. They are different from the other rivets I have seen at least in as much as they are much harder to squeeze the gun with.

Ok so what size and where can I get a good price? I need a boatload of them for may trailer project and estimate the cappings alone will need probably 200.
