Rear salisbury 4.11 R&P

Priced them out from lucky and GBR and have a bit of sticker shock. Got to be able to find them less than $600. Let me know.
Thanks,
Chris

If you switch out the end of the rear driveshaft you can run Dana 60 gears. So I am told.

I've discussed it with a few folks and converting my drive shaft to a yolk end and changing a few other pinion mounting bits will get me there but then I've spent almost as much as new sals gears. I appreciate the suggestions but I'm hoping someone has a set that they tried and didn't like or need and then I'd have a few schmeckles to spend on new bearings. Thanks.

If that's the case then I welcome some education on the right parts. I have decided on a Detroit locker in the rear so the gears need to fit that diff. Suggestions? Yeah schmeckles... Coins

Not that many sals rear ends around in the US realistically so I'd reckon used will be difficult to find. The regular rover gears are $300. So twice as much for the sals gears from GBR. It's probably cheaper to find a different ratio T-case.

That's a good idea too. I've got ashcroft fronts so I'm trying to finish up the conversion. Thanks.

Converting to D60 gears maybe close to as much as Sals gears but now your repairs on the diff will be less in the future . I am looking into doing gears on my sals and will be converting to 60 gears .

I'd be interested in hearing your plans, parts and modifications needed. Please share.seems like there are several ways to do this after searching various rover forums.
