Rear Axle/Hubs

In need of a complete rear discovery axle or a good place to source the hubs.

Was in the process of replacing the wheel bearings over the weekend and discovered the hubs were pretty beat up.

Will take a few others from the other hub, which looked more beat up then this one.

I have three DI's and a '95 RRC here in the yard. They all have complete rears. If you're still looking for parts let me know what you need, I'm sure I have it.

Why not just replace the races and bearings?

yeah, there's nothing on a hub that wears out beyond the seals, races, and bearings.

I agree with the jack stands, they are on my list!

I had intended to do the races bearings and seals but looking at the condition of the of the inners of the hubs I felt safer to replace the hubs then have an issue down the line.

------ Follow up post added August 9th, 2016 11:02 AM ------

Thanks Paul , can you PM me the total and I get it right out.

Thanks

Sorry Brandon....what's wrong with the inners of the hubs? I don't see anything in the photos that looks particularly untoward?

Trying to save you money here.

The spindles are replaceable too but should be OK to reuse as long as the surface where the bearing rests is not heavily worn and the seal mating surface is in good condition.

Im probably being over cautious, but Paul had complete rebuilt hubs with new enough rotors already attached so I decided to go that route will keep these as spares unless someone has interest. And I will keep my rebuild kits for the fronts when I decide to do the front axles.

Thanks for looking out..:-)

I actually feel safer working under cut and stacked 6x6 timbers. Jack stands scare me!
