Press and Snap Tool

Think you can just get a simple hand tool from a handicraft store or hobby store. Doesnt take much to put snaps on.

snap tool

Got one of the cheepees...they are limited on how far in from the edge you can put a snap in. The other type that has a mandrel means you have to take off the top to do the repair and hope you hit your holes right. I have tried the optiosn and the Hoover Press N Snap is just what I need.

If you get the cheapo 2-piece tool you can put the snaps in further in (really as far in as you want since it's 2 piece). You just hammer the snaps on...I fairly frequently rip snaps off my Exmoor top when wheeling and I've taken to just keeping the snap kit in the truck so I can fix on the fly.
