Jon, You could buy some small tubing/fuel line etc. Just cut it in 3" pieces and jamb it on to the studs. I used a deep socket to tap the tubing all the way down on to the studs. Try 1/2" O.D,3/8" I.D. clear fuel line. Much cheaper than those stainless steel studs. I have now had my 90 for 5 days, its awesome!

Christopher, congrats on your new 90!

I agree with Dave, ditch the sleeves. Even aftermarket fixes are just a pain in the ass. When the door top has been on a few months, it is a bitch to get off. I had SS Studs and quick nuts and I am a cheap bastard--that said, I would do the SS again (assuming that you will take yours on and off fairly often as I did).

If you "cheap out" and use those stupid plastic sleeves you will eventualy have a real hard time taking your windows off. It is cheaper in the long run to ditch what you have and buy the SS studs. Trust me, do a search and see the hell some fellow D-90ers have gone thru trying to get their windows off.
