If you're contract is up with t-mobile, why don't you change service provider with AT&T or Verizon? I believe both now offer FREE iPhone 4 with 2 year contract. Plus you can transfer your existing mobile number.

Revisiting this.. my daughter wants a "new" phone for her birthday, never got one for my wife just fixed her 3gs (she isn't interested in a new one, she likes hers.) but my daughter would be happy with a 4, 4s. I can't justify the cost of a new phone.

thanks

AT&T will unlock iPhones that are off contract too, for free. I had them unlock my 4 after the two years were up and I bought a 5.

I understand.. but I am under contract to T Mobile.. plus nobody can beat my rate plan. I have 2 Iphones and a Galaxy S2, unlimited everything for $135. Everyone else was twice that. None of use care to have 5's and there are many cheap 4's out there now. I just thought I'd ask here first. I am a fan of T-mo, I have never had any issues with them, don't think I'll switch anytime soon.
