Haven't pulled the trigger, not sure of my expectations on a 20yr old soft top.

Haha, and what are your expectations of the plastic/fiberglass top? You'll probably have better luck with the Tickford IMO.

I've seen some nice hardtops out there. I hear they are a pain but they look good and would likely last longer than a 20yr old soft top. I only like surrey in summer so a new full soft top is a waste for me.

I wouldn't buy a fiberglass top if you plan on taking it off every year. Will stress fracture with all the handling on and off.

I still have a Tickford I never put on from my 94 and looks barely used by previous owner BUT it is what it is - older. I also have a full tonneau cover. Might consider selling them together for $750 firm. Won't separate them as a owner of a 94 would benefit from having both if still running the snaps on their rig and I still think I may buy another 94 one day ;-)

Interested. Can you send me pics of both the Tickford and the tonneau? I am running snaps and have no interest in changing over to belt rail. My 90 had a tonneau at one point as I have the snaps already installed on the interior.
On your Tickford, is there any dry rot on the top or windows? Email me pics to my address below. Thanks in advance!

Last time I check the top (beginning of summer) there was no dry rot. The clear vinyl is not damaged but it has been in storage for a while so it will have some bends on them. Will try to dig this stuff out if the attic to take current Picts today or tomorrow.

Edit

Emails sent with picts etc.

I'm going to sell off my fiberglass hardtop once I've procured the parts to install a snap style soft top. The fiberglass is intact and not broken anywhere. The seals around the glass is old(as in original) and could used to be redone at some point in the future. PM me if you're still interested and I will send you a bunch of photos of the top.

Looks good. What gutter kit did you use or does it not have one?

I really want a Arles SW, but can't now, so I am looking for an original fiberglass hardtop. No cracks or damage, should have everything needed to install...willing to pay for the best example.
Not interested in shipping, would rather pick up from NJ to NC.
I'm patient, so keep me in mind if you decide to shed yours.

Why original? It's not one of those things that "original" actually matters. Just buy this.

I was looking at this, it's definitely interesting. Anyone else ever owned one from D90 Tops? Does it look like the paint doesn't match?

I know a few people who have had them and they haven't complained. That particular blue top actually has a longer dedicated thread to it somewhere around here and the paint was discussed.
