What specifically is wrong with your current one? They can be gently pulled apart, cleaned, dielectric grease, reassemble....and in many cases it's good to go.

it is causing the blinker switch to fire. The blinker lights don't go on but it causes an intermittent blinker sound

Take it out and apart and put it back together. Sometimes even just cycling it a dozen times and pulling out on the button fixes it.
