Need Fuel Filter Housing for 300TDI

Well my bleed screw was stripped, maybe by me, maybe for always, would explain some of the starting issues I have been having.

At any rate, I changed the fuel filter and went to bleed the housing and found that as I tightened the bolt it just kept spinning...

In a bit of a desperate need for a housing (or suitable replacement, I see the standyne ones mentioned around) currently my daily driver is a lump of parts without this system being sealed. LR Direct said part was unavailable (from them anyway) so I presume that will be the case with most UK suppliers. Was hoping to get lucky on the board.

Any suggestions?

I see that, but I'd need fittings and BS to go along with it.

Right now the fastest swap would be someone who, like yourself, pulled their old housing and went with a different setup and has their take off lying in the garage...

the 300TDI/200TDI is the same housing

Hi JT,

Pretty sure I have an extra one. I will check and get back with you.

Hey, did you still have an extra 300tdi AC compressor and setup?

Let me know 615 681 8441

Any Bosch diesel shop will have one. It is a common Bosch filter head used in a lot of things.

I have the bosch part number and have tried to locate it without a lot of luck.

Anyone know if there is a REF number for this so I can call around?

I don't know other than when I've been to the local Bosch shop, they knew what it was and had them on the shelves. I never looked into it beyond that. It could be that they are NLA. The world moves on.

I run Stanadyne filters on my trucks. Much better filtration which extends injector life. you just need a couple of compression fittings and plugs, which you can get at a hardware store.

I see them there, was just hoping to get it domestically so I could have it by the end of the week.

Ebay stuff definitely takes 5-7 business days from the UK

If only you'd done a little more shopping at the barn you'd be golden.
