I cant believe you have not found one for the price you are willing to spend. Have you checked out www.lrx.com ?

I know

I have been watching everywhere, and can't find anything. Reading all the posts on this site you would think you could buy a realy nice truck for 20K. Everyone says that trucks are over priced, so I don't know. I watch the 90s on ebay list and hardly any of them sell, but then they just relist them. Eventualy I will find the right one, I just don't want to get into something that is going to be broken all the time. It seems the only thing anyone is willing to sell for low 20s is not in very good shape. Thanks for the reply.

Check out my add in the 'For Sale' section for the '95 AA Yellow ST. It's been a very reliable truck, and in my humble opinion, reasonably priced.

Another search on this site generated about five D90s in the low 20s, did you check the site out? When you want something bad enough, you'll search everywhere for it. With a budget around 20K, expect some compromise, namely higher mileage vehicles.

This thread is about as amusing as the old classic "Parts off my Bro's D-90" thread which I miss so much.

Dude, here's a little insight into the D-90 for you....they're ALL overpriced, and whatever you buy, your girlfriend will hate it, it will leave you stranded far away from home in the rain, and it's going to cost you every bit of spare money you have lying around to keep it running and to put toys on it. I don't care if it has 20k miles on it or 120K miles on it. It's the nature of the beast. Now, buy a truck already.

Martin,
Thomas is right on the money there. Its not so funny when you are looking for a vehicle but its 100% true. I thought that by paying 40,000 $ for mine with 20K miles that i would avoid a lot of costs but it just doesn't happen. I have spent probably 2-3,000 $ on it so far with accessories and mantainence. Most of that money went to mantainence. They are money pits and it really is the nature of the beast.

Happy Hunting though in the meantime...

Thumbs up

you know, the "mystery box" on the "trying to sell parts of my bro's D90" thread might have contained an older Defender- of course he'd have to check with his rover people and JEEP friends for the price...or call "THAT PLACE YOU ALL KNOW ABOUT-ROVER CLUBHOUSE"

(just paraphrasing here, of course)

I'm baffled that you haven't found one as well. What are you finding wrong with the numerous ones that have been listed? That white SW for $15000 was in great condition- your $7000 "price cushion" could have easily remedied any small problems. Small being a relative Defender term, of course...
