Need a 110 Fuel sending unit for early truck

I need a fuel sender for an early truck. Petrol or Diesel will both work. Part numbers Im finding are stc1482 or prc8463

Need one to attend Conclave and don't think theres enough time for one to come from UK.

Tom could you pull the sender in the morning and let me know how it looks? I need to do something tomorrow morning.

The one I have was clogged- couldn't blow any air through it even after half a can of carb cleaner.

If it's prc8463 I believe I have a couple of new old stock units. No box just the units. I am on the left coast so let me know and I will double check first thing in the AM. $25 plus shipping.

Doug, I've got two of what I have which appear to be side mount unit. I've got a call into you to verify completely before I send.
Since I have two if anyone else wants the second one I will sell at the same price.

Thanks guys. This is a bit of an uphill battle. Trying to get my sons 110 on the road so he can attend Conclave in his own defender. The truck hasn"t been on the road since 2002 and despite its low mileage every system we touch needs something. Until we drive it we won't know how realistic the goal is. Tom we took the best of the three tanks I had lying around and wire wheeled it and sand blasted it and por15'd it so we are set on the tank. Thanks

Chris called earlier and to red label a fuel tank sending unit was over $90. Absolutely absurd. Does anyone still use UPS ? Seemingly they are pricing themselves out of the parcel business.

I can't imagine a lack of fuel level indication would keep one from attending the event. If its actually missing (sender that is) cut a plate and cover the hole.
Top up the tank every 4 hours of run time.

Isn't the sender the same as a steel tanked RRC? (the one on the side of the tank). Usually can get them over here fairly easily.

Fuel sender has been sent and Doug will have it on Monday. As said above, I have a second one that I will sell as well for the same price.

Bill the issue is the fuel pick up, not the gauge. The sender we had was completely plugged despite the filter screen being clear. While trying to clear it it basically disintergrated in our hands.

UPS is the best way to ship overnight! You pay for the service you receive! $90 for an overnight Saturday parcel is reasonable!

Got it installed- thanks again Chris. The original had a plastic filter /screen basket that slipped over the end of the fuel pick up tube. We were able to re-use that part so exact relacement.
