NAS Fiberglass Top

I've been looking around for options to replace my torn factory soft top and since I originally wanted a D90 with a fiberglass top in the first place, I thought I'd search for that while I'm at it.

I haven't seen any recent posts in the classifieds for a second hand factory fiberglass top that would work with my '95 NAS ST. If anyone is selling one or knows of someone who is, please let me know.

Thanks in advance!

Plan B would be to go to a metal top and sides. Plastic ones come up here often but metal has better longevity.

I'd definitely consider a metal top as well. Any leads on someone selling their metal top and cage from their SW would be great!

I'll throw in a bottle of whiskey if I end up buying the one you point me to.

plastic or metal

Both are hard to store if you want to enjoy the sun and not easily removed. So if you think that you will have the top on for awhile at a stretch then go for it. If you think you want the flexibility to enjoy the top off whenever you feel the need..then foget'bout'it with the hard tops. IMHO

Thanks for the tip, Clay. I don't mind having to store it for the warmer seasons and going with a surrey or bimini top the rest of the time.

Josh, I had seen that one on ebay but wasn't crazy about having to fix the crack. Is that fairly common for these tops? I've noticed that some people have commented about them leaking as well?

Very uncommon - they usually have 10 cracks and at least one section completed broken off. That's why if you search around on here regarding fiberglass tops, you'll see most everyone hates them.

And save $1,000,000 in frustration when taking it on and off...

The fiberglass top is FINE so long as you realize it is NOT like a jeep top that is meant to be removed and replaced each season. If you put it on and seal it up and never take it off, it is perfectly adequate for what it is and does not flap like a soft top (even badgers flap).

Anyway, I have a liftgate from one if anyone needs it.

Thanks for the advice fellas. OK, this might be a stupid question: What is a gutter kit? I've seen that term come up in postings but searching for an explanation of what it is hasn't helped me much.

Edit: Aha! some more searching and I figured it out. Advanced search FTW.
