NAS 110 A/C Switch

Anybody out there have the A/C switch from a NAS 110? ECR perhaps?

Thanks!

Nope, that's the fan switch.

There is a separate lighted push button switch to turn on/off the compressor. Last time I talked to George he didn't have it and it's NLA (or so I'm told). Thus the search for a used one.

gotcha - sorry for the false positive...hopefully ECR can pull through on this one. I bet if you called them up, you might be able to find out quicker.

Chance - I think I have what you're looking for. The round green pushbutton that says A/C on the front? I can snap a pic just to make sure. I removed the factory AC from my 110 a while ago (and sold most of the parts) so the switch came out as well.

Yes, yes, yes! That's the ticket. I'll buy it. How much do you want for it? Headed to the rally?

As much as I'd like to, I can't make it to the Rally this year.

I really have no idea what this is worth especially since they are NLA. How about $25 shipped.

Follow-up Post:

Well, decided to check the switch to make sure it was working properly. There are 3 wires that run into the connector. The Blue/White and Yellow/Green are obviously switched open/close, and work fine. The 3rd wire, Blue/Black runs to the other set of contacts on the switch, but there is nothing on the opposite contact. It's apparent this is how the switch was made as there is no evidence of solder on the terminal, and no provisions for a 4th wire. So I have no idea what that 3rd wire is suppose to do. Does your old switch look the same way?

I don't know if mine is like that or not as I don't have it out yet. Speaking of which, it looks like a pain in the a$$ to get out... Anyway, $25 is good. PayPal OK? If so, send me your info.

Thanks!

Glad you found the switch. We don't have any (well we have some broken ones). They are NLA everywhere and yes they are a pain to replace, but that is the right switch and it is only a 2 wire system.
Nice find.

Thanks for the confirmation Mike. Actually, I'm hoping I don't have to completely remove mine to fix it (but I may). Strictly speaking, mine works, but it's a hole in the dash with the light sticking out. You have to stick your pinkie finger in there to turn it on.

That is a failure of the pressed tin clamp that holds the switch itself.
It is very common because of the design of the switch. Basically it happens because if the switch gets pushed a little too hard the rear tab bends and the switch then slides backwards.
You won't need a new switch to fix it, but you will need to remove the switch to repair it, and you'll need to add something so that it doesn't happen again, or be very gentle with the switch from then on.
Good old NAS BS AC system means it isn't any fun to get to, but it can be fixed.

Interesting; thanks for the info. Mine isn't pushed in, but the entire cap that says "AC" on it is missing. Hence, the pinkie to turn it on.

Yeah, I'll admit it's not the prettiest A/C system, but mine actually works pretty darn good!

So Ryan, I'll still take it off your hands.

Guess I should raise my price. Just kidding - you deserve a fair price if you're willing to live with the stock AC. I'll PM you my contact info.

Mike - Thanks for confirming the two-wire operation. I feel better knowing that the switch is working properly.
