MoD style heater inlet

I have a customer who would like a heater inlet "snorkel" for a LHD Def. ( for the RH heater inlet) I believe they were used by the military in cold/snowy environments and sat on topof then down the side of the fender, with the opening at the bottom. Any chance somebody has one of these laying around?
Thanks!
Trevor

I believe they are interchangeable from left to right. Usually see them on Uk Ebay. I know of a company that makes them. (been eyeballing them for the 90)
IRB Development is the company.

You can get them in U.K. from a military land-rover surplus like P.A. Blanchard. They are call snow covers..

o... not to tread on William's comment but they are not interchangeable as the vents are opposites of each other in shape. So you will want to get one that fits on the driver's side.

Didnt know the shape of the vent played a part.

yeah these mount in the same place as the fender vent covers. You ave to take your old vent off and screw these on.

I have one of these on my 110 (well, i did, it's now in the garage)

They work well to keep snow/mud/water out of the heater ducting... however, they seriously reduce the efficiency of the heater.

you'll find that you will have the fan on position 2 if the temp drops to anywhere near chilly.

on pos 1 of the fan switch, there's hardly any air movement at all through the vents.
