MOD roll bar or similar

Almost done compiling the parts to convert the truck cab to a soft top for the summer. At this point all I need is a solution for the upper seat belt mounts. Ideally the solution would include some sort of roll bar. It seems like the easiest solution would be to source an ex-MOD soft top roll bar. Anyone have one or something similar?
Thanks

Exmoor makes a front seat belt bar for just such an occasion. I ordered one from Stephen in Dec. but have not received it yet...part # is EXT500-1.

A note on the MOD roll bar/seatbealt bar.

The one i have is designed to replace the hood stick in the furthest forward location on the bed. It also required special cappings to allow for the roll bar to slide through into the bracket below. Or you can cut your existing capping larger. With the roll bar in place you cannot put a truck cab hard top in place without cutting off or bending the seat belt mounts out of the way.

My solution will be to cut my existing capping and cut off the seat belt mounts from the roll bar, (im using lap belts anyway)

Im putting a bar from a 90 into a 110, so there are some other slight differences as well

Ken, thanks for mentioning that exmoor product -- while I know the MOD bar isn't great, I'd love to try and find something that offers a modicum of protection. I may have to look again at that safety devices option. . .

Matthew, great points there, thanks. My intent was to run the bar and soft top for 3 seasons and drop the pickup cab back on for the winter. Which obviosuly will never happen . . .

Hi,

Might have what your looking for, am currently converting my D90 into a trail truck with a full trayback. Did have a 3/4" mohair tilt on it over a pair of MOD roll hoops. Let me get them out & I'll post a pic up for you. The front hoop sat behind my truck cab so would work for your application.

Here you go.... this is the behind cab hoop :

These are the seat belt brackets that can be bolted on for tilt & then you can take them off for truckcab :

This is the rear hoop & the hood bow parts. I reverse mounted this hoop to give a real strong rear hood frame. It work's out a bit tight for the hoods but they can be made to fit. The hoop has the same stays & brackets as the front hoop with it.

Haven't a clue on what there worth, there not that light so..... pony express would be the best shipping option for you.

PS.... can also take the front hoop mounting brackets out the old tub once I clear the 5' of snow off the top of it !

Getting no love from any of the vendors, either they don't have the MOD bar or Exmoor bar or won't return calls. Any ideas out there?

I just got mine painted and installed over the weekend. Instead of using special cappings i just drilled out the existing and fitted.

I ended up cutting off the seatbelt attachment points, so i could keep the bar on with the truck cab in place. I use lap belts anyway

Tony, did you try Stephen at Safari HP? He's not always good on email, but may be worth a call...I'm SURE he's got something for you. Roadtrip to FL! You can head there after Uwharrie (read: a good reason for us to go to Uwharrie!).

I have, but between issues with the last order I placed and trying to get help with this one unsuccessfully I've given up. It may be time to break down and get something fabricated.
