Mantec Snorkel

I need to get a hold of the MAN-201 Mantec Snorkel.

Does anyone have a source in the U.S. besides Pangaea or Rover Accessories? ( I can't seem to get any response from them)

Cheers!
Dan

Hey Dan - Did you try the usual suspects; AB, RN, DAP, etc.?

I don't know anything about this company, but they have it.

I'm pretty sure Red Rhino is out of business, try going to just http://www.get-rhino.com/ - you get nothing. Unfortunately, their web pages still come up in web search engines.

It was also basically a one-man, board spamming, flake-o-rama.

I have them. Would be here next week. Sell about 100 Mantecs a year. Their price has gone through the roof recently.

Describe "through the roof" - they were already like 500 bucks...

Where did you find the model number "MAN-201"? I looked on the Mantec site, and can't find any of their snorkels with that model number.

RN has a NAS Mantec Snorkel here:

I see...you've found the old Pangaea page...they call it a MAN 201...I think RN carries that one too:

Regarding snorkels... Do they offer any sort of a performance upgrade as well? Seems like it could be looked as a rover equivalent of a Cold air intake. I'm almost sure it doesn't but from people who have em, you notice anything?

I don't believe there's a performance increase, especially the way the head of the snorkel is designed. Something along that line...LenB installed an inline blower using the intake.

Mantec Raised Air Intake Performance Increase

As stock, my Defender 90 ran 33.5 second 1/4 miles, now with the Mantec Raised Air Intake, I run 32.0 second 1/4 miles ...worth evey penny!
