Check out the BearMach swingaway tire carrier (BA132). DAP carries them. I've had one on my 110 for a couple years now and am very pleased with it. Besides being half the price, the only difference between it and the Mantec (that I could see) was the lack of a grease fitting on the moving parts.

Chance - are you saying the Mantec has a grease fitting (zerk/grease nipple)? I had a Mantec carrier on my old 90 and it didn't have any grease fittings. Or are you saying the BearMach has the grease fitting?

Thanks Chance, it looks like the ticket. I have bumperetts which stick up in the corners of the crossmember, any chance (ha ha) you can post a close up picture of yours, I want to be sure it will clear them and I can't tell from the DAP picture.

They say it will fit with bumperetts. I am seriously thinking of putting one of these on my 110.

Chance, how was the install?

Seems like somebody told me that the Mantec has a grease fitting, but I'm sure I could've mis-remembered too. The BearMach definitely does not have a grease fitting.

Pics attached. It doesn't look like the bolts will interfere, but depending upon how high up the bumperettes are, they may hit the hinge bolt. If it does, it'll probably not interfere if you turn the bolt over.

Install wasn't bad. Just lots of drilling. As you can see in the last picture, the plate that comes with the BA132 doesn't cover the entire area of the original spare mount plate. I decided to leave the old plate and bolt the new one in the center of it. Combined with the inner plate, each hole was a good 1/2" thick. Went through a couple drill bits.

Almost forgot about the horror of the furthest bolt through the cross member. It's far enough in that it was impossible to get a wrench on it, much less get the nut started. I had a buddy mig weld a 3-4" strip of metal to the nut and that took care of it.

Thanks Chance, it looks like it will work fine. Where did you get your LED's?

You're welcome. I bought them, in a roundabout way, from ECR. A guy in Denver bought them during the first group buy (which I missed out on) and then changed his mind. I really like them; they're one of the better upgrades I've done.

I have the Mantec (with zerk fitting). It's a great way to keep the weight off the door.
