So I figured out that I have a 1.6 LT230 transfercase as I almost exploded the engine trying to hold 65 mph
actually it did well except the whole superheated cubby box over the t-case. So I looking for
2. parts to accomplish said advice
1. do I swap the high range gears with the Ashcroft kit and just put 1.4 gears in (if so how hard is this to do?)
2. get a whole t case with the 1.4 gears? i realize that this is easier so with that in mind does it matter if it's a disco vs defender lt230? My truck is a Defender 110
Any advice is appreciated.
