LR3 18" Wheels Rims

Wanted 18" genuine 10 spoke wheels for an LR3 as shown below. Or, trade me straight across for my 19" HSE wheels as shown below.

Ive been running 265/70-18 Falken Wild Peak A/Ts on my D3 for over 2 years now.
55k miles and 2 Buffalo winters later, they've worn pretty evenly and Ive never been stuck or had an issue with them.
You'll need a Rod lift kit to fit them, but it runs real nice and looks proper.

Before this winter, I am installing some Nitto Terra Grapplers in the same size. Ive heard good things about them as well.

Call me @ 716-898-8153 and Ill hook you up with a good deal on tires.

Thanks,

Erik @ Lucky 8

Will do. I don't want to run lifted bags though, so I guess the largest tire without rubbing. I know this topic is covered at length elsewhere. I was thinking Toyo ATs.

Welcome to the Source .

Thanks! Been a member of other LR Forums since 2005ish, and always a lurker here. Figured I'd make it official.

Im installing a set of 265-60-18s on a friends D3 this afternoon. According to what Ive seen/read/heard, this is about as large as you can go comfortably without going to a rod lift. 285-60-18s will fit from what Ive been told, but its pretty snug and rods are recommended.

Hope this helps,

Erik

I'm running the Cooper Zeon LTZ 286/60R18 at stock height and they work well.. no rubbing or anything. I've had them for about 3 years (not sure how many miles), and I'll probably be replacing them in 6-12 months.

This is not the site I was looking for but it seems to have copied all the info that was in the original page:
http://lr3tips.wordpress.com/2007/03/14/46/

Of course.... Entire forum on it: http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/wheels-tyres-vf35.html

Now... It's interesting to me that you went with 18".... I was looking to ditch them and look for 19" rims instead.... So very few tires available in 18" for the LR3 (granted, I was looking for road tires in stock size, no plan to take this guy off-road at the moment).

Those look pretty nice. I considered getting them, but for some reason they come with a warning about not being for severe snow service. Not sure why. Many other sizes don't come with the same warning. I don't get much snow here, but I've been known to drive to places that do during the holidays.

I just ordered a set of Nitto Terra Grapplers in the stock size for my LR3.

Whats the max size for no lift and tire chain use? Im thinkin of going 255/60r18 XL Nitto Terra Grappler. Very similar in size to stock, though I wish I could get a 31" tire with a 265 width for chains.
