Thanks Stephen but I really want it to be original engine/mileage. Otherwise a 97 Arles is a great combo.

Sure good luck on the search.

So since it was brought up I'm hoping this doesn't hijack the thread...so in the Porsche world I get the original engine thing because they're all stamped accordingly to match the car. But in the Rover world I never would have thought this to be an issue. I'd never even have known it the engine was replaced given it was an exact match from a donor. Are the engines stamped on these trucks? Otherwise how the heck would you ever know?

I agree, no one would have known if you didn't say anything. I'm sure there are plenty of NAS trucks that have Disco 3.9's in them and no one is any wiser

Personal preference I suppose. To me it's a special vehicle and I want to make sure it's original as possible. My needs don't require heavy (or any) mods, but most can be reversed. A new engine would be tough.

Member support has been great this whole time and I remain impressed with the comradary here.

Not giving up. Feels like more inventory is popping up these days.

Please send a pm my way if you have a lead, interested, or considering to sell.

I'd love to get my hands on one to use this fall before tucking away for 5 months or so.

+1

The newer the engine the better. Its a poorly designed Buick engine, not some special dry sump matching numbers race motor.

Still looking. I've been very close on a couple over the past month or so but not quite quick enough.

Green SW or ST is ideal as is as close to stock as possible.

Thanks

I was late on a couple and then there were two that I should have purchased out of Cal. many months ago. Still kicking myself about those.
