Looking for my next Rover

I am on the hunt for my next rover, but it may be a difficult one. I sold my NAS 90 SW for significantly less (I mean WAY less) than I ever wanted to and I just got hit with higher property taxes and a back payment -- so I am a bit limited again budget wise.

Looking for a sub-$20k rover

*Prefer a ROW Diesel powered 110

*I would also consider a NAS or ROW 90 ST (as the season turns to summer here, I start to forget about the space problem I had in the 90 & instead think of how much fun an ST would be on the beach).

*Along the lines with the ST I would consider a few non-rovers (ie. early bronco, FJ40, FJ60(62), BJ60)

Thanks guys!

import one.

Or buy this. Right in your budget, and is a ST.

I wonder what kind of shape the paint is in under that wrap? Worth a look.

A 3 door Tithonus 110 would be in your price range and provide you with a nice rover. Talk to Chris Snell, he purchased a Tithonus and it is real nice

You could put in a set of the exmoor trim lock and fold seats to address the seating for the kid and still have some nice cargo area.

http://www.exmoortrim.co.uk/catalogu....html?sef=hcfp

I have seen some other 3 doors that look decent in your price range but getting a 5 door in your price range that is reliable and not in need of a bunch of work is going to be tough.

Another 3 door with a low price would want more pics but rivermike seems honest

Add a soft top to a 3door and you have the soft top and the space you want

Dave that is exactly what I plan to do with my Tithonus 110, which has cleared Customs and waiting on final paper work at this moment. Can't wait.

Yeah I've looked at that ad a few times but haven't called the guy. I don't know for some reason that one hasn't peaked my interest. If I was going to stick with a 90 I think I'd want to switch it up a try out a soft top. I do like the diesel though.

Well... my 110 is still available. I'm going to the UK for two weeks and will be getting an Allisport rad/intercooler that should solve the issue of slight temp rise on extended highway runs. Though shipping from where I am in MS is apparently a huge pain in the ass because I'm not close to any major interstates.

Did you buy this one yet?

1984 Land Rover Defender 110 - $21000 (WLA)

I just bought this Defender, but I've just been dealt a financial problem and I'm forced to sell it. It only has 66k original miles! Very clean! It's petrol, with 4 speed no overdrive. But it drives well! Tires are new, new seals all around, new center console with satellite radio installed. Right hand drive which makes it way cooler. This was a luxury gift to myself, but I'm hosed right now, and can't keep it. Serious only please! I have zero time for tire kickers. Don't call me unless you plan on showing up with cash. Too busy dealing with some stuff! Thanks for understanding. FIRST DECENT CASH OFFER WINs

I hadn't seen that one. I'll give him a shout, but I wonder if he's selling it not because of financial problems but rather smog cert problems with and 80's petrol

For real. I haven't sent you an offer because I know the amount of work you have in that beast and I don't want to insult you with my shortcomings.

Stone, this one isn't painted camo, so the wife may allow it. It's right in your sweet spot $$ wise, too.
