Looking for complete R380/LT230

I am in the middle of a V8 engine rebuild and the plan was to change out my LT95 for an R380/LT230. I have called Rob at Southwest Rovers and he has nothing in stock. I will need everything for the conversion: bellhousing, shift mechanism, tunnel cover etc. Please let me know if you have anything available. Thanks

I have R380 with about 2k miles from new and LT230 working fine. I also have a spare NAS seatbox and tranny tunnel with new bulkhead diaphragm. I was planning an auto swap, but been lazy. PM to discuss further.

Not sure how much difference there is between v8 and diesel r-380, you may want a 1.2:1 transfer box.... I have disco r380 boxes, with bell housing and I have a defender seat box also... Out of tunnel covers at the moment but they are pretty easy to find.... And I'm more local that that rover trader guy.

Did you try will tillary or paul grant or roverdude?

They part out discos all the time.

You are also going to need front and rear driveshafts. The front is the same as a discovery, but the rear is 110 specific.

No I haven't, not directly. I was hoping someone with a spare would respond to this.

Or what was the reasoning for ditching the LT95? Drive one with the .996 High Ratio and it could change your mind...

Sounds like OP already has the R380 though

Forest,
Be aware that the R380 diff lock shifter is different than the auto trans one you will likely get with a 1.2 lt230
from a dismantler here. Ashcrofts will sell you a used one reasonably. On the floor plates, You have skills just borrow a pair as templates and make your own, thats what I do. That leaves the tunnel cover and they can be a bit difficult to find. I have one I'm hoarding for a build this spring I'd be willing to loan as a pattern if someone in plastics was willing to make a bunch of these and crank them out.
I have been lucky on ebay uk a couple times on the plastic tunnels.

My LT95 is gone. I am at the point of no return. This has been a complete clusterf*ck and I rather not get into the specifics. I just need a Tcase.

A 1.2 t. case is at pretty much any junk yard if you want used from a Disco 1. If you want rebuilt, order from Ashcroft.
