looking for a gm rochester carb

bought a series from a member and the carb needs replacing. it had been replaced at some point with a gm carb. same one that was on the 1960 chevy v6 motors. i tried to replace it with a new weber but the bots pattern was not the same. does anyone have one sitting on a shelf or have an adapter so i can use the weber? thanks

I think you are going to need a little more info to try and narrow it down some.

Does it have any numbers?

Here is a site with the bunch of info that might help you narrow it down some

1961 - 1987
http://www.carburetor.ca/carbs/catal...y6-1961-87.htm

up to 1960
http://www.carburetor.ca/carbs/catal...let/index.html

If you are 100% sure it looks like there is only 1 6 cyl rochester carb in 1960 for a chevy

I got one of these for my series and I could never get the damn thing tuned right, had the jettings correct just couldn't tune it and nobody would show me how at the time So I went with the zenith, it still works.

British Pacific has new/reman Rochester BV carbs for use on Series Rovers. I have one sitting in a box that I'm not going to use. I need to get back with a guy on Rovers North board as he wanted it- if that falls through I'll pm you. In the meantime they have the carb and all the jets- and can advise you at British Pacific.
