Looking for a decent LHD D90

I have been looking for a LHD defender 90 with a Diesel engine and bench seats in the back. I have twin boys (age 4) and they will be seated in the back in car seats.

I live close to the beach and will be using the car to transport my family and put surfboards and stand-up paddle boards on the roof and bikes on the back.

I'm looking to be in the low 20K range.

Does anyone have any ideas/options?

Thank you!

Old Rover Diesels in Calif might be a struggle. There have been discussions here on the subject. Just FYI.

I have a really nice, all original 90 D, no rust and even below $ 20K

What I understood though that it is very difficult to register them in CA. On the other hand I sold one earlier this year to CA and that one has a clear CA title now. Donīt know how he did it and can not help you with that.

Also have a really nice, all original 90 V8 LHD, only 50K miles. Might be easier. Price will be a little above $20K though.

Johan,

Thanks again for the reply. Can you tell me about your 90 V8 LHD and the 90 D you mention? Pictures, asking prices, where the cars are located, whether there are any mechanical issues?

Is your LHD a NAS?

I still do not know how guys in CA are getting the diesels registered here in CA. I do not have clarity on how they get them to pass smog tests, other than biannually paying someone to fudge the test results.

I appreciate your help and look forward to your response. You may email me directly at joseph@fcapinc.com.

Thank you,
Joseph Soleiman

Thank you--yes, I understand that emissions is the issue. Anything else I should consider?

Hi Joseph,

send you an email with more info.

The 90V8 I have is not an NAS, I wish, for a NAS in that condition I could have asked twice as much .....
