Are you looking for a NAS (North American Specification) or are you willing to explore an imported one?

there are many differences....

It's best to see a NAS and an Import and look at the differences in person. I live in Maywood and have an import. Josh over in Hoboken has a NAS.

There's a 1994 for sale in Morristown. White ST, higher miles, new engine, but a little overpriced in my opinion ($34k?).
Found the pics. Nice guy. Haven't been out there lately to check it out (these were sent to me by a friend), but expect some rust if it's coming from NJ.

I found it best to do the research first and decide what exactly you want.
Station wagon (sw) or Soft top (st), manual or automatic etc etc

Once you've narrowed it down, then your search will be easier as your criteria will be more focused.
Good luck with your research and search. It's a lot of fun looking for "your" new ride

Don't be afraid to look outside of NY NJ as it may be worth the extra miles to find a decent one.

Im across from Monmouth Mall, and I believe that Don lives in Rumson. Been told that there are a lot of Defenders hiding out there as well.
Just saw a white 110 in the back of Land Rover Monmouth dealership the other day.

Not in NJ, not stock by any means, and not the prettiest truck I've ever seen, but it's a 1997 SW on a galvy chassis which is pretty cool. Also has too much of the ugly checker plate in my opinion, and some other stuff done that doesn't look great... but figured you may want to see it.

I don't see any accidents in its history either:

There have been some nicer ones around for that money, but not many with a Galvy chassis; I wonder who did the swap.

Cool, thanks for the find- Looks interesting.
If any of you guys in Monmouth county ever want to meet up I'd love to pick your brains about d90's.

Like airborne and bjf said, those are the local NJ people. Just Bennys that snot up the shore area in the summer time. Luckily they are further south but we get some here and there up near the north shore. It's funny how many people really think that is what NJ is like.

Like Airborne said, I'm right in Rumson and he's not far from you either. Alastair on the board I know from riding bikes and has an imported 90 (although I'm not sure what the status is on it - for all I know it could have blown itself up with the luck he's had on it).

Lots of 90's in the area as I'm sure you have seen. If you want to meet up let me know - you can certainly pick my brain on what to look for and such and give my 90 a look over. Airborne and I are pretty overdue for a meet up too. And Alastair might be able to make it and give some pointers on what to do if you look for an imported 25 year old one.
