LH V8 exhaust manifold...

Three studs snapped off on mine. Easier to replace it than repair if I can find an orphan. Anybody? Thanks.

Except the studs on the donor are likely to also snap easily so you might as well replace them. Talk to Pedro/Carlos as they just replaced the studs on one of his. Otherwise I'll look at the manifold I have here, but I'll bet it has at least one snapped stud as well. If not, you are welcome to it.

Theres one on FleaBay now pretty cheap and it looks like all the studs are good. If nobody is forthcoming I'll prolly get that one.

Bill, if your options through Charles or ebay don't pan out I spoke to a local friend that has what you need.

He'd like your core, plus $150.

Mine has one snapped on what I think is the left side, 2 on the other. I still say just replace the studs!

Clay, my apologies if you were offended in any way by my remark. It was not my intention to belittle your kind attention to my plight.
I am looking for a little convenience, that's all. I have winkled out enough stuck fittings in my time so it's not like I am helpless here. At this point in my life I can spend $40 to save myself an hour or two. More than that I'll just get 'em out myself and put in the new studs that are on the workbench staring at me.

Took a little over an hour for one stud. Using successively larger drills I got the old stud out so that just the threads were still in there. 9/32 seemed to be just right, except that my drills are pretty dull. Plucked out most of the dregs. Two more to go. Will chase threads with a tap and be back in bidniz.
