ISO: OE/used D90 oil cooler lines

Hi,

Soon to be new owner of a used '97 D90 NAS.
Based on DS research, the factory oil cooler lines should be replaced.
I'm thinking of a DIY OE line re-fit with better rubber hoses, instead of aftermarket braided lines.

If anyone has a pair of used/OE oil cooler lines in a box... please let me know.

BTW, are the lines the same between the NAS trucks of diff years?

Thanks!
Chris

You can probably just leave them. I don't think they are an issue.
Obviously joking.....

97 is different than the others, and less prone to fail. Early in my career, I would wrap new stock hoses in a silicone fire sleeve, believing that if the line did fail, the sleeve that in theory would run the oil away from the exhaust. Never tested, just seemed logical. Now, I just fit Trailheads to all of my customer's rovers. And my own.

Roverlab's initial approach with a silicone sleeve works great (well played Roverlab!), but I also went with Trailhead SS lines. Good crew at Trailhead! Text them a pic of your cooler line setup and they'll make sure you get a set with the correct connections.
