So it has to be rebiult? I thought there was a way to get unmolested brand new ones LHD? Also will I be able to service the rig myself easily? Seeing how the dealership probably wouldn't want to touch it.

New LHD 110 2.4 TDCI SWs are 20-22k UKP. 110 Regulars are 16k UKP and 130 HCPUs are 24k UKP. All with AC but minimal export spec, not the fancy ones.

To be legit (under UK law -- US you are on your own) on points figure 1000 UKP for a donor, and whatever a frame swap costs in the UK.

Foley will sell you one done up

Sounds like a trip, but I never thought I'd be interested in a ROW truck until now.

What would be the easiest way in your opinion? I like taking the road more often travelled with the least amount of risk.

My truck is row specs, got it from dealer.
There are a couple of 60 anniversary 110 for sale also I guess.

There is no risk free way. The motor is not compliant and the "rebuild" -- even if done by the books to the UK point system -- has not been "blessed" by EPA and DOT, but as you can see by looking around, they do make it in.

IMHO, the least risky way is to use an original 1983-86 (87 in jan) frame and get it galvanized and swapped under a new truck and use enough other point to make it legit in the UK and then import it as an 1983-86. Second best is a new land rover frame but still with points.

Foley has an 87 130 for sale with a supposed good frame for 2500UKP -- there is your donor and frame.

Is the 60th anniversary edition the fire and ice one? Thanks Ron Id rather just write a check out and not have to deal with the importation/rebiuld hassle.

Out in LA I haven't seen any/many who are not trying to make quite a bit of money for the hassle they've gone through to import and register (in Cali of all states) a "questionable" 110 for $70k...been more like $85-130k.

Well, unmolested is illegal. Molested might be legal.

The "regular" 60th anniversary is not that flashy. A few
interior and exterior upgrades, special grille and stuff.
They are nice.
