Help! need STC934 glow plug harness

Anyone have one? These are on back order from RN and I need one now. It is the harness that plugs into the glow plug harness and goes to the ignition switch and glow plug light.

you sure about that part number ? Pulls up as a vacuum pipe

try this part #

Product Code: PRC6083 PRC6083 WIRING HARNESS GLOW PLUG 2.5 TDI (G)

Our Price: $45.77 Brit-Car

I know you have seen it but here is the pamphlet from the now discontinued factory 200 Tdi Retro-fit Kit.
It lists all the part numbers. Figured its ok to post since Rover no longer sells the kit ????

Not sure why it comes up as a vacuum pipe. George said he could not find the # at all. Anyway, STC934 is correct and it comes up in the RN system. It is a sub harness and plugs into PRC6083.

you're right. From Nicks Jungle:

Cable STC 934 plugs into PRC 6083 and the black/white wire screws to the bulkhead. At the other end of it the white/red cable goes to the white/red on the back of the igniton and the connector with both the whites goes to the white on the the ignition, they both have piggyback connectors. The yellow/black wire goes to the spade on the bottom of the orange looking square light on the warning panel and the other white goes to the top spade.

Dave,

Anytime I have a ton of stuff saved in my favorites. It would seem as though Jim C has more however.

Cheers,

Cheers,

Its actually worse than that - I've got an STC 934D sitting in my garage. Cabell - can I count on you to replace mine if I send it to you? Is it NLA?

This looks like it would be incredibly easy to make, why not just do that and save yourself some money and time (waiting for shipping)?

Jim,
I'll glady replace yours when the new ones come in or buy yours and you can order directly...whatever makes you happy. RN said it was on back order from LR, but not NLA, although its seems a few things I have been after lately are NLA. I'm happy to double check with RN on availabilty, but I usually don't find out something is on backorder until 2 weeks go by and I call.
Let me know. Thanks.

Hey Cabell - I can send it out to you no prob, but would prefer to do a simple swap since the prices often change when a new shipment arrives. As of a few years ago it was only a 26 dollar part, but I'd rather you get stuck with the price change and not me!

PM me an address (not a PO box) and I'll fedex the thing to you. Need a phone number too for FedEx.

Well Jim,
I wanted to verify with RN that this is going to be available and they have just called to tell me it is now NLA. So.....thanks for your generous offer but I am unable to replace yours. Again, a big thanks for trying to help.

Anyone else have one?

Ok, a bunch of pix. If its not clear, let me know. The only tricky part is in sub-area 3 where the white wire goes to the lead (A), comes back into the harness and doubles back (B) finally leading out to C.

Other than the big connector (which you could just use some bullets instead) it looks pretty easy to make.

Yeah, totally easy to make. There are 2 gauges of wire in the harness, "normal," and "fatter" for the brown wire and the 10 inch one that goes to the glow plugs.

The relay plug itself is just 3 different widths of spade connector, other than that, the other one, like evil said, could just be made with bullets.

I may have one (or at least very similar) here (in the UK)....

I've certainly got that large socket with some brown wire coming out of it, so you could make up the rest of the loom.

I'll have a look tonight when i get in from work.

your's FOC (i've now built my Td5 so don't use Tdi stuff anymore)

PRC6083 is still shown on microcat as available (see attachment) @ 38.76 UKP (plus vat)...looks like it's got the big brown wire (that feeds the glowplugs) and the relay/timer socket, and the small lead that plugs into the main ignition bit.

Is this the part you need?
