Help! Cant find Evaporator Case Assembly RTC7588

Well, that's not exactly true - I found one for over $4000. Im looking for just the case that houses the evaporator. Its a black plastic box. Apparently is has been discontinued and I cant find it anywhere - any ideas? I dont know how to go about finding one in a salvage vehicle. Hoping someone on here has some ideas....thanks in advance. Its HOT in austin and Im dying for some A/C

beautiful. yes, its toast. And apparently you cant buy one without buying the entire evaporator case assembly (including evaporator), so its expensive. Mine is completely destroyed. Any chance you want to sell it? Did I mention its really hot in austin? Otherwise, I may mount a big window unit to the back slider and drive around town with it hanging off the side!!!! thanks again

It's just a plastic box. Would be nice if someone could do a run of these. There are shops that do small batch injection molding. I'd be in for one.

I gone down that road for other parts, the injection is not that expensive, it is the die and tooling that will kill your cost not to mention getting people to put down cash if they want one prior to production.

How about metal instead of plastic?
