Heavy duty Track Rod

Need a HD track rod (behind the axle) for RRC/D1. Bought a used one that is slightly bent, would prefer to keep it as a trail spare.

thx

"Trail" spare? Is Starbucks now considered a Pedro Blue trail?

But see the difference, it's when I actually need to change a tire on the trail and don't want a 5000lb Defender slipping off a bottle jack and landing on my head . I can only submit to one OSHA violation on the trail at a time, and generally that's covered in the flip-flop department.

Tony, look at RN- they have a package deal for HD steer components w/ new TREs. About cheaper than getting the TREs individually...

Keith Kreutzer (Rover Tracks) made great ones. The best in my opinion. Shame he's out of the business.

All of the ones I've bought from RTE in the past have been stainless as far as I could tell.

Huh, I guess with the thickness of the rod overall then the stainless strength doesn't become a concern (versus regular steel).

They are solid stainless. I've bent them before, but pretty much any track rod or drag link can bend.

my RTE one was SS. Now slightly banana-shaped. I replaced it with a rockware portal-style one that is slightly less banana-shaped.
