GBR Front Axles/CV

I am looking for some Great Basin Rover heavy duty front axles and CV's for my 97 D90. GBR has had a manufacturing issue and I can not get them.

Check these out ... www.cvunlimited.com or by them on Ebay. George Stuckey and his brother designed and developed them.

Type "Rover CV" on Ebay. They are 899.00 + 15.00 shipping.

I just put a set on my 97, they are 4340 CM, heat-treated and Cryo'd. They are bigger and stronger than GBR. They have a 2 year warranty and lifetime on Joint Breakage.

that's a really lame reason

i wouldn't count on CV's from Bill in the forseeable future.
he told me it's not worth his effort.

it you want the flanges to match do what i did,
get the CV unlimited axles and use the Maxi drive flanges from GBR
the flanges are like 100 for the set and it will look like you have "matching axles"

Everything matching is nice, but it is really about performance... You could always buy the front end cap, so that it says GBR...

I have GBR in the rear and I had them in the front, my stock CV's shattered and ate the short side axel, Bill was helpful, but not interested in selling me just a another short side, but wanted me to buy the heavy duty set coming out for 1500ish. Just for political sake, Bill was not rude, pushy or anything but very nice and helpful.

I ended up replacing the passenger side with a used set from a disco. It lasted almost 2 years. When it went again, I searched for a better set up, found CV unlimited and I am very happy with them. It's hard to beat $899.00

Toy conversion and be done with it. Rovertracks can set you up.

Is it for a complete kit (axles & CVs) or just the CVs?
I suppose the 1st...?

Uhm...it's a good deal then.

I'm actually drooling over Keith's Longs kit.

It seems like I'll have to save a decent amount of money whichever the way

Thanks.
