Full Carpet for a 90 SW

Can a full replacement carpet be purchase for a 90SW (front, back, tunnel, etc)?

If so can you get it in any color other than the original gray?

Exmoor had some and I think Badgerman makes them too.

PS don't tell me you are making your ST a SW?

I bought an entire set (in original grey) about a year ago from Rovers North and am very satisfied with them.

ha no I am not doing anything of the sort. I would never bastardize my 90 like that. I am helping a friend with a 97 SW get it sorted and he has had some unusual requests. On a good note as I help him I am collecting his spare parts. Hence the extra tire carrier I just got. I also now have a set of 97 turn signals if anyone needs.

If he goes through with the full cage, I might end up with the NAS SW cage.

Gary,

Did the carpet come with everything?

badger makes awesome stuff. Not sure if he will do a full set though.

I had some worn carpets redone for a D110. I basically took the carpets to an upholstery shop. They were able to replicate them including the rubber backing, edging, and brass grommets. They came out very nice. I'd get quotes from a local shop.

I had to order each individual piece and it came with nothing. I used 3m adhesive and two-sided carpet tape to install. If your buddy's replacing the carpets, he may want to consider doing some soundproofing/insulating (like Dynamat) at the same time. Definitely a good time to replace the bolts that attach the jump seats, seat belts, etc. if they're rusted at all.

I just got done pulling everything out of the back of my SW. Seats, carpet, healiner, etc... Put a layer of dynamat on the top, bottom and sides, car insulation on the bottom, then had a shop carpet the back with the same color car carpet. The carpet is much better quality than the stock. The biggest thing I notice is how much quieter it is. I would highly recommend it to everyone as it makes the back so much nicer. Night and day difference. Once you rip everything out you go crazy. I'm also putting in stainless steel hardware everywhere.

Was the set genuine LR, or something RN cooked up 'in house'?

My friend ended up having custom carpet made in black. It looks good. Personally I hate carpet in these things. I would rip it out and put in the ST rubber mat in the back and full rubber in the front.

I agree with you; but unfortunately, not all of those rubber pieces are available if genuine NAS ST spec is your goal.

I think it depends. The only part I cant find is the piece behind the fuse box. Everything else can be had.

There seems to be a lot of posting on people getting new carpet sets but no one really comments on the quality. Has anyone bought a full carpet set including the load space from Exmoor or others? Good quality?? I am looking for black. I thought I would ask before I do something custom locally.
thanks

I ordered a full set of grey carpets for my 97 SW from RoversNorth a couple of years ago and they were exactly the same quality/construction as the ones I removed. They may have even been OEM but I don't remember.
