Actually you sort of do as the early housing has narrow arms and disco I has wider arms. Much easier to swap the whole axle too.

Yeah, that's why I bought it complete, and then bought a replacement for the bent arm. because I've got the narrow arms, but if I can just swap the guts I can use the narrow arms.

But you are right about swapping the assembly. It would be a lot easier.

Hard to decide.

I busted one CV and the one on the LWB is on its way out -- at 194k.
