don't bother with a bolt on. get one welded or buy the rovertym one and... get it welded.

Seriously IMHO the bolt ons are a false sense of security.

Charles, do take a look for it please. I agree on the weld on type, especially after seeing how thin your stock cover was. I think a bolt on one would fail at some point if you really smacked it.

I'll take a look this weekend. The QT guards are actually quite sturdy and mount to tabs welded to the axle so they can take a pretty good beating. I put the sewer cap on mine because my HD draglink made me remove the diff QT guard I had on (now on the 110) and I had prior damage to the cover already so it made sense.

But you welded mine so you know what it takes to do the sewer cap (and I'd be happy to help), and you can buy them off of Keith from rovertracks for a good deal.

conventional wisdom is to weld it in a few spots even if it is a bolt on. of course I have not done that. but I will, someday...

That's a lot of work to weld in a sewer cap because I would want to pull the axle like I did on yours! That will wait until I put lockers in. I think I am going to do the Rovertym one that welds to the front.

J., sending you an email direct in case you still want the QT - found it. Brand new, including tabs you weld to the diff with predrilled/tapped holes and bolts.

Charles,

If Jonathan doesn't take it. I'm very interested if it is model number A1055.
Do you have a price?
