Thumbs up Front Cross Bars - D90 Roof Rack - I KNOW YOU HAVE THEM!

I know it's a long shot. Want the original tubular cross bars NOT the Thule product.
But I am sure that several people around here have a pair sitting in their garage...
I'll take them with or without the mounting brackets, and in perfect or less-than-pefect shape.

Thanks!!!!

I do but I don't want to separate them from the full SD roof rack, ladder, etc.

Wicks,

Do you want to part with the whole kit? What condition is everything in? Do you have all hardware, backing plates, brackets, etc? Shoot me an email and we can talk.

Thanks!

Paul,

Roverconnection carries these for $220 and the mounting brackets for $65 each. Are you putting together a complete SD full safari rack?

Thanks Javier,

I have contacted Rover Connection several times in the past, but it seems they only have the clamps available. I sent them an email today just to verify. I'll post back here when i hear back.

Right now I am debating the full rack, but want to experiment with a few options before I commit to drilling in to the rear of the vehicle to mount the full rack.

I'm just hoping to find the cross bars and clamps at the moment, but may be interested in purchasing the entire setup if Wicks wants to sell.

Thumbs up Photos

TOM -

Thanks for that lead, I appreciate it!

I have had a few responses, and thought I should clarify...

I am not interested in the square-tubing Thule cross bars in the last picture... I want the bars that support the full-sized factory/SD safari roof rack.

Thanks guys!!

Call Derek at Urban Offroad. He makes crossbars that were designed to hold the full-sized SD roof rack. They look OEM, but have slightly different angles. He may already be making them with angles that more closely resemble the originals.

Pic of UO's crossbars

Check out more pics of the full rack.

Still on the hunt for SD cross bars and brackets.

Javier -- Derek does make a nice product and he was very cool to me when I went out to his shop. He can pretty much fab up anything you need. I may have to revist him, but for now I am set on the SD/Land Rover bars and brackets because I plan to get the full Safari Rack down the line.

Rover Connection still sells the brackets, but no longer stocks the cross bars.

Anyone else got some lying around?

Still looking...

Bump. Still looking. If you have one good bar or a couple of brackets lying around -- I'm willing to piece this thing together.

Thanks guys!

You are welcome... I've been watching them for a while, trying to decide if I needed them to add to my stock pile.

Well, my celebration was over quickly. The cross bars arrive today and they are a mess -- 2 brackets broken, all 4 flanges from bars to clamps are badly twisted... So they are going back to the person I purchased them from.

I'm STILL LOOKING

I am in the same boat. Hoping ECR will sell the crossbars and ladder individually if they get around to selling these to the public.
