Detomaso Pantera

Long shot, I know. I had a few of these many years ago and have the itch again. Very flexible on year, color, condition, but prefer a stock, rust free , super nice car. Willing to part with one of my personal stash of Defenders towards one.

Bring-A-Trailer has had a few in the past few months. It's hard to find one that hasn't either been neglected or molested beyond recognition but they are a cool niche collector. I know the market would scoff at this statement, but Panteras do more for me than AC Cobras.

Only know one that has been highly molested in the 15 or so years my friend has owned it. I obsessed over them in high school.

I have a friend who can likely find you one, but I suspect it would have to be a cash deal (as opposed to a cash plus Defender one). PM me if interested.

Cash is not a problem. Just put the Defender option out there in case.

I got hold of my buddy, but he mostly works with dealer auctions, and he (not surprisingly) said he almost never sees them at those. You might also look here;

Jay Leno's Garage (cool youtube channel) featured one not too long ago. It was his personal car and he offered a really good insight into purchasing/owning panteras. Although you seem very familiar with them having owned them before. Cool episode nonetheless. GL with your search!

Andy, I am interested. My first preference would be for a pre- L , but am most likely going to buy two of these, and a 74 would be great.

Had an enlightening experience years ago in an early Pantera on Rt 88..why someone gave the keys to 19year old me is a bit baffling You are a local and know the road.

My neighbor had one restored to a very high standard (mostly stock w/ some sensible upgrades) a few years ago by a guy in Natick who may have sourced it for him. Came out very nice. Looks like you have some traction here, but let me now if you want to chase down some contacts.
