Defender rims

I need 5 rims for a Defender 110. Mine are shot. Steel or alloy, not real picky.

I have a set of freestyles ( 5 ) for 300.00 located in MD, but you could pick them up from Roverlab next week or so.

Peter, check to make sure the alloys will work for you on the 110 as you usually need spacers on the front at a minimum.

Set of four steel OEM steel wheels (spare on DI & RRC) painted black. Fits RRC, DI & Defender 90.
$160 per set with the steel lug nuts.
$135 without lug nuts.

You might as well get you a set of these wolfs that are floating around and for sale by everyone. They are coming down in price.

Any older 110 will have this issue - what year is yours?

Measure from the hub face to the outside of the flange bolts and compare front to rear. I can check on mine if it helps but what you'll see is the front is longer. I bought some thin spacers from the UK on ebay that will allow me to run alloys on the front (but not the center caps) but have yet to try them. Maybe sometime this week.

I have a nice set of 5 NAS 110 wheels with nearly new BFG ATs in 235 85 R16s on them but I would need real money for them.

If you have the drum brakes in the back, it is fairly safe to say alloys won't work right. If you have discs, and the drive flange looks thin you should be ok. Also, there are usually build dates ont he axles. 1994 and up are ok for alloys.

Does that price include the lug nuts?

No it does not.

I know of a set of lugnuts + 100.00 ( can't remember if it is 22 or 23 of them ) from a nearby friend, I will be more than glad to pick them up for you ( at your cost of course *LOL* ) if you get the wheels.

Also if you want a set of really cheap wheels, my 109 came with a set of 4 carriage ( wagon wheels ) poorly painted black and 1 solid black rim ( like the ones on the old nato ). You can have these ( 5 ) for 100.00 ( no lug nuts )

I am going to meet Trevor at Roverlab this weekend ( sunday ) so if you want any of these let me know so they can be loaded with the 90.

Thanks

Just for reference, the front hubs on my 1984 are about 2 1/16 to 2 1/8" from the hub face to the outer edge of the flange mounting bolts. If yours are that long then you'll have problems.

But even if you have newer hubs, I *think* you still can't use the center caps, but I am not 100% sure.

The search for rims continues. Looking for either freestyles with lugs or black wolf/nato tubeless.
